Direct-fit center link designed for 1973–1977 Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac vehicles equipped with power steering. This heavy-duty center link replaces worn or damaged steering components to restore steering geometry, reduce play, and improve vehicle tracking. Constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant steel with precision-machined ball joint surfaces, it provides reliable long-term performance under highway and daily driving conditions. Ideal for restoration projects or routine suspension maintenance, the part installs using factory mounting points and helps return steering feel to OEM standards.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–2 hours
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and block rear wheels.
- Raise the front of the vehicle and support securely on jack stands; remove the front wheels.
- Inspect the steering linkage to identify the center link and related components; apply penetrating oil to fasteners if corroded.
- Remove nuts/bolts securing the outer tie rod and idler arm ends to the center link using a ball joint separator or pickle fork. Use a hammer if necessary to free stubborn joints.
- Support the center link and remove the mounting hardware attaching it to the pitman arm and idler arm.
- Lower and remove the old center link. Compare the new part to the old to confirm correct orientation and length.
- Install the new center link into position, loosely install mounting hardware at the pitman arm and idler arm, then attach outer ends to the tie rods/arm ends.
- Torque all fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications, starting with center link mounting bolts, then tie rod/ball joint nuts.
- Reinstall front wheels, lower the vehicle, and perform a test drive to check steering feel and free play.
- Have a professional wheel alignment performed after installation to ensure proper steering geometry and tire wear.
