Front lower forward and rearward control arm bushings designed for 1966–1974 Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac passenger cars. These replacement bushings restore correct suspension geometry by securing the lower control arm to the chassis, reducing play and improving steering precision and ride quality. Constructed from durable materials to resist wear, they provide reliable, long-lasting performance and are suitable for restoration projects or routine suspension maintenance. Simple direct-fit replacements bring factory alignment tolerances back to spec and help prevent premature tire wear and vibration.
Features:
- Fits 1966-1974 Buick, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac passenger cars (front lower control arm, forward and rearward positions).
- Direct-fit replacement for front lower forward and rearward control arm bushings—designed to restore correct alignment and suspension geometry.
- Durable elastomer and metal construction resists compression set and environmental degradation for long service life.
- Reduces steering play and vibration while preventing premature tire wear.
- Easy-to-install replacement ideal for restorations, maintenance, and performance upgrades.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1-2 hours per side (depending on tools and experience)
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, chock rear wheels, loosen front lug nuts, then lift vehicle and support on jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel and disconnect any components obstructing access to the lower control arm (sway bar links, tie rod end, etc.).
- Support the lower control arm with a jack, then unbolt the control arm from the chassis and ball joint as required and lower it from the vehicle.
- Clean the bushing housing area and apply penetrating oil to aid removal.
- Press out the old forward and rearward bushings using a hydraulic press or bushing driver. Inspect control arm bore for damage and clean thoroughly.
- Press in the new bushings squarely until fully seated. Use appropriate adapters to avoid damaging the bushing or control arm.
- Reinstall the control arm, torque fasteners to factory specifications, and reattach any disconnected components.
- Lower the vehicle, torque wheel lug nuts to spec, and have a professional alignment performed to ensure proper suspension geometry and tire wear.
