Instructions:
- Open the door and locate the existing door bumper on the jamb or striker area.
- Remove the old bumper: grip and pull it straight out. Use a flathead screwdriver or trim tool to pry gently if needed.
- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with rubbing alcohol or mild cleaner; wipe dry with a rag.
- If the new bumper has a sleeve, align the sleeve with the hole and slide it in. If it is a push-fit stud, align the stud with the hole.
- Press the new bumper firmly into the mounting hole until it seats flush. Tap gently with a small hammer or mallet if necessary.
- Close the door slowly to confirm correct height and cushioning. Adjust position slightly with pliers if the bumper is not engaging properly.
- If the fit is loose, inspect the mounting hole for damage and replace the sleeve or use a new retaining sleeve designed for the bumper.
