Instructions:
- Remove the door panel: disconnect any electrical connectors and carefully pry off trim using a panel removal tool.
- Lower the window to a position where the glass can be accessed and support the glass with masking tape to prevent movement.
- Remove any window run moldings, retainers, or bolts that secure the old run channel to the door.
- Carefully pull out the old glass run channel from the door frame; if necessary, lower or raise the glass to free it from the channel.
- Clean the channel mounting area and remove old adhesive, rust, and debris; wipe with a rag and inspect for damage.
- Test-fit the new run channel in the door to confirm alignment and fit; trim length if needed following OEM guidance.
- Apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone spray to the new channel to ease installation.
- Insert the new run channel into the door frame, seating it fully and aligning mounting holes or retainers.
- Reposition the glass into the new channel, remove masking tape, and cycle the window to ensure smooth operation and correct alignment.
- Reinstall any retainers, moldings, and the door panel; reconnect electrical connectors and perform a final test of window function.
