Front sway bar link (right/left) designed for classic and later-model GM and Ford family vehicles from 1965–2005. This replacement stabilizer link connects the anti-roll bar to the suspension control arm or strut, helping reduce body roll, improve handling, and maintain proper alignment of the sway bar. Built for durability and dependable performance, it restores steering stability and reduces noise or looseness caused by worn or damaged original links. Ideal for restoration, routine maintenance, or performance refreshes on compatible Buicks, Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Fords, GMCs, Isuzus, Lincolns, Oldsmobiles, and Pontiacs.

Installation / Application:

Suggested Tools:
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle lift
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Wrenches (open-end or combination)
  • Torque wrench
  • Penetrating oil (for rusted fasteners)
  • Pry bar (optional)
  • Safety glasses and gloves
Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level surface, engage parking brake, and loosen front lug nuts slightly.
  2. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands; remove the wheel for access.
  3. Locate the sway bar link connecting the stabilizer bar to the control arm or strut assembly.
  4. Apply penetrating oil to nuts and studs if they are corroded; allow time to soak.
  5. Use appropriate sockets/wrenches to loosen and remove the lower and upper fasteners securing the link.
  6. Remove the old sway bar link; compare new part to old to confirm correct orientation and length.
  7. Install the new sway bar link in the same orientation; hand-thread nuts onto studs to start.
  8. Tighten fasteners to the manufacturer's specified torque using a torque wrench.
  9. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to spec.
  10. Test drive at low speed to confirm improved handling and that no unusual noises are present. Re-check fastener torque after initial drive.
