Rear left sway bar link designed for 1997–2005 Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac vehicles. This suspension link secures the anti-roll bar to the suspension control arm, restoring proper sway bar function to reduce body roll, improve handling and maintain alignment geometry. Constructed from durable materials and engineered for direct-fit replacement, the link provides reliable performance and long service life, making it ideal for routine maintenance, repair, or full suspension restoration projects.
Features:
- Fits 1997-2005 Chevrolet, Oldsmobile & Pontiac models — rear, left-hand side.
- Direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged rear sway bar links to restore handling.
- Durable construction with corrosion-resistant finishes for long-lasting reliability.
- Precision bushings reduce noise and vibration while maintaining steering feel.
- Easy installation using common hand tools for quick suspension repairs or restoration.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-45 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and loosen the rear wheel lug nuts slightly.
- Raise the rear of the vehicle with a jack and secure on jack stands. Remove the rear wheel to access the sway bar link.
- Locate the rear left sway bar link connecting the sway bar to the control arm or strut.
- If mounting hardware is corroded, apply penetrating oil and allow to soak for several minutes.
- Use appropriate sockets/wrenches to remove the nut(s) securing the sway bar link at both ends. Hold the stud with a wrench while turning the nut, or remove the nut and press the stud through the mounting hole.
- Remove the old link and compare with the new part to confirm fit and orientation.
- Install the new sway bar link in the same orientation as the original. Insert studs through the sway bar and control arm/strut mounts, then hand-thread nuts onto the studs.
- Tighten the mounting nuts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification using a torque wrench.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to specification.
- Test drive at low speed to verify suspension operation and check for unusual noises. Recheck torque after initial road test.
