Precision Beltline Molding, Outer Left Hand WFL 1411 78 is a factory-style exterior trim piece designed to secure and protect the left-side beltline on vehicles designated WFL 1411 (1978). It maintains body panel alignment, shields the edge from road debris and moisture, and restores the vehicle's original finished appearance. Built for durability and long-term reliability, this molding offers corrosion-resistant construction and a factory-correct fit for straightforward replacement or restoration projects.
Features:
  • Fitment: Outer left-hand beltline molding for WFL 1411 vehicles (1978).
  • Factory-style profile restores original exterior appearance and panel alignment.
  • Durable, corrosion-resistant metal with a factory-correct finish for long life.
  • Secures trim, reduces vibration, and protects the beltline from damage and moisture.
  • Direct replacement part ideal for restoration or routine maintenance.
  • Designed for relatively easy installation using common hand tools.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 2/5
  • Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Suggested Tools:
  • Trim removal tool or flat pry tool
  • Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
  • Socket set (if clips/bolts used)
  • Rubber mallet or soft-faced hammer
  • Masking tape
  • Clean rag and mild solvent
  • Replacement clips or fasteners (if required)
  • Safety gloves
Instructions:
  1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
  2. Carefully remove the old beltline molding: use a trim removal tool to disengage clips and remove any screws or fasteners holding the molding in place.
  3. Inspect the mounting channel and remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion with a clean rag and mild solvent. Allow to dry.
  4. Compare the new molding to the old piece to confirm correct length and clip locations. Replace any damaged clips or fasteners.
  5. Apply masking tape along the edge of the door or panel to protect paint during installation.
  6. Align the front end of the new molding with the panel start point and press the molding into the channel, working rearward. Engage clips one at a time, applying firm, even pressure.
  7. If required, gently tap molding into place with a rubber mallet to ensure full seating of clips and a flush fit.
  8. Trim any excess material (if applicable) and reinstall any screws or end caps removed earlier.
  9. Clean the installed molding and remove masking tape. Inspect the fit and operation of adjacent doors/windows to ensure proper alignment.
