Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and lower windows; ensure door and surrounding area are accessible.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: pry loose any retained edges with a trim tool or flathead screwdriver and peel away old adhesive.
- Clean the door flange and channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or an appropriate cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and grease; allow to dry completely.
- Dry-fit the new seal onto the door frame to verify orientation (left-hand) and ensure the profile aligns with attachment points.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting flange or the door channel as directed by the adhesive manufacturer.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into place along the full length of the door, working from one end to the other. Use masking tape to hold sections in place if needed while adhesive sets.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat fit at corners and ends; use a rubber mallet or block to seat the seal firmly without damaging it.
- Allow the adhesive to cure per adhesive instructions (typically several hours) before closing the door or exposing to moisture. Recheck fit and adjust if necessary.
