Instructions:
- Open the hood and locate the existing hood/fender bumper mounting position(s).
- If present, remove the old bumper by prying up the cap or backing nut with a screwdriver, or pull straight out with pliers. Keep any retaining hardware if reusing.
- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area with a rag to remove dirt, grease, and debris.
- Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant or soapy water to the bumper stem to ease installation.
- Insert the new bumper stem into the hole or grommet and push until fully seated. If the bumper uses a backing nut or threaded stud, secure it snugly but do not over-tighten.
- Close the hood slowly and check contact height. Adjust by turning or repositioning the bumper (or using shims) until correct hood-to-fender gap and contact are achieved.
- Open and close the hood several times to confirm no interference and that vibration/rattle has been reduced.
