Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, open and support the hood securely.
- Locate the existing bumper; if replacing, remove the old bumper by prying out the push-in grommet or removing the retaining nut/fastener.
- Clean the mounting hole and surrounding area of dirt, grease, and corrosion. Apply light lubricant if the stud is seized.
- For push-in style: align the bumper stem with the hole and press firmly until the bumper seats flush against the panel.
- For threaded style: insert the bumper stud through the hole, place the washer (if provided) and hand-thread the nut, then tighten snugly with a wrench. Do not overtighten — secure until the bumper is stable and compresses slightly under pressure.
- Adjust bumper height where applicable to achieve uniform hood-to-fender gap and eliminate contact points.
- Close the hood and check for proper alignment and absence of rattles. Re-adjust if necessary.
