Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, open and support the hood.
- Locate the existing hood/fender bumper(s) at the hood-to-fender contact points.
- Remove the old bumper: remove any retaining nut, clip, or simply pull out the rubber stop depending on the mounting style. Apply penetrating oil if hardware is stuck.
- Clean the mounting hole/area of dirt, rust, and debris and dry with a cloth.
- Insert the new bumper's metal shank into the mounting hole or position the bumper over the stud; secure with the original nut/clip if applicable.
- Adjust bumper height (thread or compress) so the hood closes evenly and the panel gap is correct. Test by gently closing the hood several times.
- Make final adjustments as needed, then recheck all fasteners for security and ensure proper hood alignment.
