Roof Rail Window Guides – LH/RH Pair – 1969-1972 GM A-Body (Coupe) from Trim Parts slip into the upper forward corner of your hard-top door opening, guiding the side glass smoothly into the roof-rail channel on every close. Designed for Chevelle, Malibu, GTO, LeMans, Tempest, Cutlass, 442, Skylark and GS coupes, these OE-style restoration parts replace missing or brittle originals to restore quiet, rattle-free sealing.
Injection-molded to match GM part # 8723875, each guide features the correct grain texture and mounting holes for a direct bolt-on fit. Durable polymer resists UV, moisture and temperature swings, ensuring years of reliable service. Precision molding aligns the window edge precisely with the roof-rail weatherstrip, protecting glass, trim and paint while eliminating wind noise. Whether your project is a concours-level showpiece or a driver-quality street machine, these guides preserve OEM aesthetics and door-closing feel.
Benefits include smoother window operation, improved weatherstrip engagement and reduced glass stress—critical for big-block vibrations or high-RPM street fun. Installation takes minutes with basic hand tools; simply remove the old hardware, position the new guides and reuse factory screws or Trim Parts fasteners. The pair services both driver and passenger sides, making it the smart one-box solution for a complete refresh.
Restore quiet confidence every time you roll the glass up—choose Trim Parts Roof Rail Window Guides and keep your classic A-Body coupe sealing and cruising like it did in ’72.

Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
