Restore and protect your classic 1971–1972 Chevrolet Chevelle with this 4-piece bumper guard kit. Designed to replicate the original appearance, the kit secures to the bumper to prevent scratches, dings, and minor impacts while aligning and finishing the bumper line for a factory-correct look. Built from heavy-gauge, corrosion-resistant materials with an OEM-style finish, these guards offer long-lasting durability, reliable fitment, and straightforward installation—making them an ideal choice for restoration projects and maintenance alike.

- 4-piece kit provides full bumper guard coverage for front and rear placement as required.
- Made from heavy-gauge steel with a corrosion-resistant, factory-style finish for durability.
- Protects bumpers from minor impacts, scratches and everyday wear while preserving original appearance.
- Direct bolt-on design with included mounting hardware for quick and simple installation.
- Ideal for restorations or replacements to restore factory look and improve long-term reliability.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, engage parking brake, and if necessary support the vehicle with jack stands for access.
- Inspect existing bumper guards and hardware. If present, spray penetrating oil on rusted bolts and allow to soak.
- Remove old bumper guards by loosening and removing mounting fasteners. Keep hardware if re-using or discard if replacing with supplied hardware.
- Clean mounting surface on the bumper of dirt, rust, and old adhesive with a mild cleaner and cloth to ensure a good fit.
- Position the new bumper guard against the bumper, aligning bolt holes with the factory mounting points. Have a helper hold the guard if needed.
- Insert supplied bolts or fasteners and start threads by hand to avoid cross-threading. Install all fasteners loosely to allow minor adjustment.
- Adjust guard position so it is flush with the bumper and symmetrical with vehicle lines. Once aligned, tighten fasteners evenly in a crisscross pattern.
- Torque fasteners to factory or recommended specifications where available. If exact specs are not available, tighten to a firm, secure fit without over-tightening.
- Re-check alignment and fastener tightness after a short test drive. Re-inspect periodically to ensure continued secure fitment.
