Front sway bar link (right/left) designed to restore steering stability and reduce body roll on classic American cars and trucks. Fits a broad range of models from 1957 through 1991 including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Lincoln, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Plymouth and Pontiac. The link secures the anti-roll (sway) bar to the suspension control arm or endlink bracket, maintaining proper alignment and suspension geometry. Built for durability and reliable performance, this direct-replacement link helps eliminate clunking noises, reduces vibration, and returns crisp handling to vehicles undergoing restoration or routine maintenance. Engineered for straightforward installation, it’s an ideal part for restoring original ride characteristics and extending the life of the suspension.

  • Wheel chocks
  • Socket set (metric & SAE)
  • Combination wrenches
  • Torque wrench
  • Penetrating oil (for rusted hardware)
  • Pry bar or flat screwdriver
  • Rubber mallet (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake and block rear wheels.
  2. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then lift the front of the vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands.
  3. Remove the front wheel to access the sway bar link area (if necessary for access).
  4. Apply penetrating oil to the nuts and bolts connecting the sway bar link to the sway bar and control arm; allow time to penetrate.
  5. Hold the link stud with a wrench and remove the nut(s) securing the link to the sway bar and control arm. Use a socket or wrench as required.
  6. If the old link is seized, use a pry bar or rubber mallet to free it, taking care not to damage surrounding components.
  7. Install the new sway bar link in the same orientation as the original. Hand-tighten the nuts to start.
  8. Lower the vehicle enough to place suspension under typical ride height or follow manufacturer specs, then torque the link nuts to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended specifications.
  9. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle fully, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec.
  10. Test drive at low speeds to confirm proper operation and re-check torque on hardware after initial use.
