PCK-934-78 is a 16-piece clip kit containing two styles of fasteners — plastic push-type clips and metal retainers — reverse-engineered from originals for accurate reproduction. Designed to secure interior and exterior trim, panels, and moldings, these clips restore factory fitment and prevent rattles, misalignment, and panel damage. Durable materials and precise dimensions provide reliable retention and long service life while remaining easy to install during restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
- 16-piece kit with two styles: plastic push-type clips and metal retainers.
- Reverse-engineered from original clips for accurate OEM-style fit.
- Secures interior and exterior trim, panels, and moldings to prevent rattles and damage.
- Durable plastic and corrosion-resistant metal construction for long-term reliability.
- Easy to install — push-in plastic clips and compress-and-insert metal retainers.
- Ideal for restoration, repair, and replacement of worn or missing fasteners.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15–45 minutes (depending on number of clips replaced)
Instructions:
- Identify the trim or panel locations and note which style of clip was used at each position.
- Carefully remove the old clips using a plastic trim tool or small flathead screwdriver to avoid damaging the panel.
- Clean the mounting holes and surrounding surfaces of dirt, rust, or adhesive residue with a cloth so new clips seat properly.
- Sort the replacement clips by style: plastic push-type and metal retainer.
- For plastic push-type clips: align the clip body with the hole, push the clip straight in until the head is flush and the retention legs expand.
- For metal retainers: compress the retainer legs or tabs with needle-nose pliers, insert the retainer into the hole, then release to allow the legs to expand and lock in place.
- Reinstall the trim or panel onto the new clips, applying even pressure to ensure all fasteners engage and the panel sits flush.
- Inspect each mounting point and test for secure fit and absence of rattles; replace any additional worn clips as needed.
