Right-hand roof rail weatherstrip seal designed for 1969 vehicles with compatible roof rail profiles. This precision-molded seal restores the original weatherproofing at the roof rail, preventing water intrusion, wind noise, and interior damage. Made from durable EPDM rubber with an OEM-style profile, it resists UV, ozone, and temperature extremes for long-lasting performance. A direct-fit replacement that helps restore proper fit, finish, and cabin quietness while protecting roof rail metal from corrosion.
Features:
- Fits 1969 vehicles with compatible roof rail configuration — verify fit for your make and model.
- Right-hand (passenger-side on left-hand drive vehicles) roof rail weatherstrip seal.
- Durable EPDM rubber construction resists UV, ozone, and heat for extended service life.
- Restores OEM sealing to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim.
- Direct-replacement profile for easy installation and accurate fitment.
- Flexible design allows proper seating in the roof rail channel without cracking.
- Sold as a single right-hand piece for restoration or replacement applications.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes (plus adhesive cure time)
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and work in a shaded area. Remove any interior trim or headliner pieces as required to access the roof rail channel.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip seal by prying it out of the channel and cutting any bonded sections. Take care not to deform the roof rail.
- Clean the roof rail channel thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive remover to eliminate old adhesive, dirt, and oils. Allow the area to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal along the rail to confirm orientation (this is the right-hand piece) and to identify any trimming points.
- Apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the back of the seal per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at the front of the roof rail, press the new seal into the channel and work rearward, using a small roller or padded block to seat the seal and ensure full contact.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat finish. Reinstall any interior trim or headliner pieces removed earlier.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for the time recommended by the adhesive manufacturer (typically 24 hours) before exposing the area to water or high wind.
