Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and lower the window slightly if applicable to access the beltline area.
- Carefully remove any adjacent trim or weatherstrip clips using a trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver, protecting paint with masking tape as needed.
- If replacing an old molding, gently pry out the existing molding and remove any old clips or adhesive residue. Clean the mounting channel with a cloth and mild cleaner; allow to dry.
- Inspect mounting clips or fasteners and replace any that are damaged. Apply rust inhibitor or touch-up paint to exposed metal if required.
- Align the new beltline molding to the channel and engage the retaining clips or fasteners, starting at one end and working to the other to ensure even fit.
- Press the molding into place along its length, verifying that it seats flush against the body and window edge. Reinstall any removed trim pieces.
- Cycle the window (if applicable) to confirm clearance and proper operation. Adjust fit as needed.
- Clean the installed molding and surrounding area. Re-check fasteners after a short test drive and tighten if necessary.
