This 2-piece Division Bar Glass Run Channel kit (GRP 1210 64) provides left and right hand glass run channels engineered to restore the window seal and guide for 2- and 4-door sedans. The channels support the division bar area of the door, securing the glass, reducing wind noise and vibration, and protecting the glass edge from wear and damage. Made from a durable rubber compound with a corrosion-resistant channel backing, the kit is an OEM-style replacement that improves reliability and longevity while simplifying restoration or maintenance of classic and replacement doors.
Features:
- Fits 2- and 4-door sedans requiring division bar glass run channels (left and right hand included).
- Complete 2-piece kit (left + right) — GRP 1210 64.
- Durable rubber compound with corrosion-resistant channel backing for long service life.
- Restores proper window alignment, reduces wind noise and vibration.
- Protects glass edges from chipping and seals out moisture and road debris.
- OEM-style replacement for restoration or routine maintenance.
- Designed for straightforward installation with basic hand tools.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45 minutes - 2 hours (both sides)
Instructions:
- Prepare the vehicle: park on level ground, disconnect the battery if you will be removing power window components, and lower the window glass to a safe position or remove it per vehicle service procedure.
- Remove interior door trim and any screws/fasteners that block access to the division bar and glass run area. Use trim tools to avoid damaging panels.
- Carefully detach the old glass run channel from the division bar/door channel. Cut any adhesive or retaining tabs with a utility knife and remove clips or rusted fasteners with pliers or a socket as needed.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly: remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion. Wipe with a shop towel and, if necessary, a mild cleaner. Ensure the area is dry before installing new parts.
- Test-fit the new run channel on the division bar to confirm orientation (left/right) and fitment. Apply a thin film of soapy water or silicone rubber lubricant inside the channel to ease assembly.
- Slide or press the new glass run channel into place along the division bar and door flange. Reinstall any clips or fasteners and trim excess material if needed for a flush fit.
- Reposition the window glass slowly into the new channel to confirm smooth travel and correct alignment. Adjust window regulator stops or mounting points if necessary.
- Reinstall interior trim and fasteners. Operate the window several times to verify proper sealing, smooth operation, and that wind noise and vibration have been reduced.
- Final check: inspect for gaps or pinched rubber, re-torque any hardware, and clean any lubricant residue from glass and trim. Repeat on the opposite side if replacing both channels.
