A direct-fit windshield weatherstrip specifically engineered for sedan and wagon applications that use steel windshield trim with the WCR D567 profile. This precision rubber seal creates a tight, long-lasting barrier between the windshield and body, preventing water intrusion, reducing wind noise, and protecting interior trim from vibration and wear. Made from durable EPDM rubber and designed to accept the factory steel trim, the seal restores proper alignment and finish during windshield replacement or vehicle restoration while offering simple installation and dependable, weather-resistant performance.
Features:
- Designed to work with steel windshield trim using the WCR D567 profile (for sedan and wagon windshield openings).
- Manufactured from durable EPDM rubber for long-term resistance to ozone, UV, and temperature extremes.
- Creates a watertight, vibration-damping seal to prevent leaks and reduce wind noise.
- Formed to accept factory-style steel trim for authentic appearance and fit.
- Easy to install during windshield replacement or restoration projects; comparable to original equipment.
- Ideal for restoring weatherproofing and interior protection on classic and late-model sedans and wagons.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Remove the windshield or loosen it per vehicle service procedure if required for access to the channel and trim.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip and steel trim using a plastic trim tool and screwdrivers; cut away any stubborn remnants with a utility knife.
- Thoroughly clean the windshield flange and channel with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth; remove old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion for a proper seal.
- If applicable, test-fit the steel trim onto the new weatherstrip outside the vehicle to confirm fit with the WCR D567 profile.
- Lightly lubricate the seal’s outer bead with soapy water or silicone spray to ease installation (do not use petroleum-based lubricants).
- Starting at the center top of the windshield opening, seat the weatherstrip into the channel and work toward each corner, pressing the seal fully into the flange.
- Align and install the steel trim over the weatherstrip, tapping gently with a soft-faced mallet as needed to engage the trim without deforming the rubber.
- Inspect the entire perimeter to ensure uniform seating and no pinched or twisted sections; trim excess material if required and reinstall the windshield per manufacturer procedure.
- Allow any recommended sealant or adhesive to cure before driving the vehicle or exposing it to weather.
