Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and engage parking brake. If needed, support the rear end with jack stands for access.
- Inspect existing bumper guards and mounting hardware. Remove old guards by loosening and removing mounting bolts or screws; retain any reusable hardware if undamaged.
- Clean mounting surfaces on the bumper with degreaser and a rag to remove rust, dirt, and old sealant to ensure a flat, secure fit.
- Position one new bumper guard on the designated mounting location and align mounting holes with existing bumper holes. Use a tape measure or straight edge to verify even placement relative to the opposite side.
- Hand-start the supplied or retained bolts to hold the guard in place. Do not fully tighten until both guards are installed and aligned.
- Install the opposite guard and adjust both guards for symmetrical alignment and proper gap to the body panels.
- Torque mounting bolts evenly to a snug fit. If desired, apply a small amount of thread locker to fasteners for extra security (use sparingly).
- Wipe away excess degreaser, inspect for gaps or rubbing, and test for vibration by gently pushing on the guards. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Lower vehicle if raised and perform a final visual inspection to confirm correct fit and appearance.
