There are no returns or refunds on such items.This new Shiftworks floor shifter has been designed to properly function with whichever GM transmission you decide to use in your vehicle. The handle and knob have been designed to resemble that used in particular cars but with our provided universal mounting kit, your able to use this shifter in almost any custom application as well.
The shifter connects to the transmission with a cable linkage. Cable mounts and the proper transmission lever are both included. We even install a new neutral safety / back up light switch and set it up so it's ready to simply wire into your car!
*** For 6/8-Spd Automatics, know that you cannot manually select all 6 or 8 gears of your transmission with the shifter. The 6L80E / 6L90E /8L90E's shift pattern is P_R_N_D_M. The "M" position tells the transmission to look for an electronic input (ex. steering wheel paddle shifters / buttons) on how and when to shift up or down. Putting the shifter in "D" or "Drive" will allow the transmission to operate through all gears on it's own based on what the computer tells it to do.

"In the olden days" many GM vehicles came with either a Powerglide or a 3-speed automatic such as a TH350 or TH400. As time went on, GM released a variety of transmissions that had overdrive capability. Overdrive simply means that the output shaft of the transmission rotates faster then the speed of the input shaft from the engine. The result was better fuel economy, as well as more gentle highway RPMs. Some of the popular transmissions in this category include the TH700-R4, TH200-4R, 4L60, and 4L80E.
The main issue arose, however, when hot-rodders and car enthusiasts began attempting to swap these transmissions into their classics the factory shifter no longer functioned properly. This is where Shiftworks comes in.
