Direct-replacement right front fender for 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle (except wagon). This panel restores the vehicle's original front-end shape, protects inner components from road debris and moisture, and provides a durable substrate for painting during restoration or repair. Built to OE-style contours for proper door and hood fitment, it helps maintain alignment, reduce vibration at body seams, and deliver a factory-correct appearance when finished.
Features:
- Fits 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle (all models except wagon) — right front fender.
- Stamped steel construction for strength and OEM-style rigidity.
- Restores proper front-end alignment and door/hood gaps.
- Protects engine bay and inner wheelhouse from debris and corrosion.
- Primed or bare finish ready for seam sealing, priming, and paint.
- Straightforward bolt-on replacement intended for restoration and collision repair.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 1–3 hours
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the front wheel for easier access to the inner fender area (optional but recommended).
- Remove any trim, side marker lamps, headlight bezels or bumper components that obstruct fender fasteners.
- Detach the inner fender liner and any attached wiring or clips so the fender edges are accessible.
- Support the hood (or remove it) and remove the bolts attaching the fender to the hood hinge/cowl area.
- Remove bolts securing the fender to the door hinge/sill, radiator support, and any underbody brackets.
- Carefully pull the old fender free; have an assistant help to avoid scraping adjacent panels.
- Test-fit the new fender, checking panel gaps at the door, hood, and bumper. Use shims to achieve even gaps.
- Apply seam sealer to appropriate mating surfaces and verify hole alignment before final installation (if required).
- Install the fender and hand-tighten all fasteners, then adjust alignment so gaps are uniform and flush.
- Torque fasteners to factory or recommended specifications, reinstall inner liner, lights, trim and bumper components.
- Finish by priming/painting the fender to match vehicle color (if not prepainted), reconnect the battery, and perform a final inspection.
