  • Stamped to OEM-like contours for accurate fit and alignment with windshield and dash components.
  • Made from heavy-gauge, corrosion-resistant steel for long-lasting structural support.
  • Restoration-grade replacement that stops leaks, reduces wind noise, and prevents further rust spread.
  • Designed for weld-in or stitch-weld installation; can be finished and painted to match restoration.
  • Simplifies repair of common rust points and returns factory mounting locations for trim and glass.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 4/5
  • Estimated time: 2-6 hours (depends on extent of rust and whether windshield removal is required)
Suggested Tools:
  • Safety gear (gloves, eye protection, respirator)
  • Screwdrivers and trim removal tools
  • Socket set and wrenches
  • Grinder or cutoff wheel
  • Spot weld cutter or drill
  • MIG/TIG welder or stitch weld setup
  • Clamps and sheet metal pliers
  • Body hammer and dolly (optional)
  • Seam sealer and rust-preventive primer

Instructions:
  1. Prepare workspace and wear appropriate safety gear.
  2. Remove windshield trim, molding, and glass if required to access the lower channel safely.
  3. Cut away the rusted or damaged section of the lower channel and clean back to solid metal.
  4. Test-fit the new repair panel, trimming as needed for an accurate, gap-free fit.
  5. Clamp the panel in place and secure with tack welds or plug welds at the factory mounting points.
  6. Complete stitch or continuous welding as appropriate, avoiding excessive heat distortion.
  7. Grind welds smooth, dress the joint, and apply seam sealer to all exposed seams and edges.
  8. Prime the repaired area with rust-inhibiting primer, then finish with paint matched to the vehicle.
  9. Reinstall the windshield (with proper urethane adhesive) or refit trim and molding if glass was not removed.
  10. Inspect for proper fitment, seals, and leaks; adjust as needed before completing the restoration.
