A durable replacement hood/fender bumper designed for 2-door coues, this OE-style bumper restores factory gaps and alignment while protecting paint and sheetmetal from contact. It cushions closing impact, reduces vibration and rattles, and provides a reliable long-term solution for restoration or maintenance projects. Made to resist compression set and wear, it’s an easy way to return doors and panels to proper fit and finish.
Features:
- Fits 2-door coupes (OEM-style replacement, verify fitment with vehicle application).
- Provides precise hood and fender spacing to restore factory alignment and gaps.
- Constructed from resilient rubber compound for long-lasting compression recovery.
- Reduces vibration and rattling while preventing metal-to-metal contact and paint damage.
- Simple drop-in or fasten installation for quick restoration or maintenance work.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the hood and locate the existing bumper or mounting boss on the fender/hood area.
- If replacing an old bumper, gently pry out or unfasten the old unit with a flathead or trim tool; remove any retaining hardware.
- Clean the mounting surface with a cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove dirt, grease and old adhesive.
- Test-fit the new bumper: position it on the mounting boss or hole to verify orientation and gap height. Use masking tape to hold in place if needed during adjustment.
- If the bumper is a push-in type, press it firmly into the mounting hole until fully seated. If it uses a stud, align the stud and secure with the appropriate nut/fastener using a socket.
- Close the hood slowly to check alignment and contact. Adjust bumper position or compressibility by selecting a different indexed height if multiple positions are provided.
- Re-check fastener torque if applicable and ensure the hood/fender closes smoothly without binding or scraping.
