Heat Fused Emblems Instructions:
REQUIRED TOOLS:
Variable Temperature Heat Gun
Heat Resistant Gloves
1 Small "C" Clamp or Similar Device
2 Small Blocks of Wood or Similar Item
Step 1:
Prep the area where the heat fused emblem is to be applied (Sill plate). Be sure to remove any oil or dirt for best adhesion. You can use a number of different chemicals here like paint prep , acetone, or even windex. Removing any grease, oil, or dirt will give the best results. Step 2:
Find a suitable area to heat the emblem. Using protective gloves heat the emblem's dry back adhesive film. It will begin to transform from off white color to yellow coloration once the adhesive is ready for to be applied. Step 3: Once the adhesive back has been heated as mentioned in step 2 , Carefully place the emblem in the desired location on the sill plate. Step 4: Use two small blocks of wood, or similar items and place them to support the emblem and carefully clamp in place. Be sure to take care and not damage the surface of the emblem or material it is being adhered to. Once clamped in place ,let it cool. Remove clamp and blocks once the emblem and area has cooled.
