Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and engage parking brake for safety.
- Remove the old pad by pulling it straight off the pedal. Use a flathead screwdriver or pry tool to help loosen edges if the pad is stuck or hardened.
- Clean the pedal surface with a rag and rubbing alcohol or mild cleaner to remove dirt, grease and residue. Allow to dry completely.
- Inspect the pedal for damage. Repair or replace the pedal if severely corroded or bent before installing the new pad.
- Align the new pad with the pedal face so the tread pattern is oriented correctly.
- Stretch the pad over the pedal edge, starting at one side and working around until the pad seats fully. Use the flathead screwdriver to ease the lip over the pedal if needed, taking care not to tear the rubber.
- Ensure all edges are seated and the pad sits flush against the pedal. Press the ribs into any pedal grooves to secure fit.
- Test the pedal operation by pressing several times to confirm the pad stays in place and provides proper grip.
