Direct-fit heater box cover engineered for small block V8 applications on classic GM muscle cars. Fits Camaro and Firebird (1967–1981), A-Body cars (1964–1972) and Nova (1969–1974) when the vehicle is equipped without air conditioning. This stamped-steel cover seals and protects the heater box opening, preventing debris intrusion and restoring a correct factory appearance. Its durable corrosion-resistant finish and OEM-style fit make it a reliable, long-lasting replacement that simplifies restoration and maintenance while maintaining proper heater duct routing and engine bay cleanliness.
Features:
- Fits Camaro / Firebird 1967–1981, A-Body 1964–1972, and Nova 1969–1974 for small block V8s without air conditioning.

Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal as a safety precaution.
- Remove any components obstructing access to the heater box cover (air cleaner assembly, hoses, or brackets as needed).
- Unfasten and remove the old heater box cover bolts. Retain hardware if reusable or replace with new fasteners.
- Clean the mating surface thoroughly with solvent and a scraper to remove old gasket material, dirt, and oil. Ensure a flat, dry surface.
- If a gasket is used, position a new gasket or apply a thin bead of high-temperature gasket sealant to the mating surface per sealant instructions.
- Align the new heater box cover on the heater box opening and hand-start the bolts to ensure proper alignment.
- Tighten bolts in a crisscross pattern to seat the cover evenly. Torque bolts to approximately 10–15 ft-lbs, or follow factory torque specs if available.
- Reinstall any removed components (air cleaner, hoses, brackets), reconnect the negative battery terminal, and start the vehicle to inspect fit and check for unusual noises or air leaks.
- After a short test run, recheck bolt tightness and inspect the area for secure fitment.
