A durable windshield weatherstrip seal engineered for precision hardtop models that use chrome trim which inserts into body clips (WCR D628 style). This gasket provides a secure, watertight seal at the windshield flange to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim from moisture and vibration. Made to OEM-style profile and resiliency, it restores proper fit and finish while offering long-term reliability and simple installation for restoration or replacement projects.
Features:
- Fits precision hardtop models using windshield chrome trim that inserts into body clips (WCR D628 style) — verify fitment for your vehicle.
- Made from long-lasting EPDM rubber for weather resistance and dimensional stability.
- Seals windshield flange to prevent water intrusion and reduce wind noise and vibration.
- Designed to work with chrome trim that inserts into body clips — maintains correct trim engagement.
- OEM-style replacement ideal for restorations and maintenance.
- Simple press-in installation with minimal trimming required for most applications.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the chrome windshield trim and old weatherstrip, noting clip locations and trim orientation.
- Clean the windshield flange and trim channel of old adhesive, dirt, and corrosion using isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the windshield flange and against the chrome trim to confirm correct orientation and length. Trim excess if necessary.
- If recommended for your vehicle, apply small dabs of weatherstrip adhesive at the corners and high-stress areas; avoid continuous bead unless specified by vehicle instructions.
- Starting at the center top, press the weatherstrip into the windshield flange and work outward toward the corners, ensuring the seal seats fully into the channel.
- Reinstall the chrome trim by aligning it with the body clips and gently tapping it into place with a rubber mallet or dead-blow hammer until clips engage.
- Inspect the seal around the windshield for uniform contact; adjust as needed. Allow any adhesive to cure per manufacturer's directions before exposure to water.
