This product will convert your factory automatic floor shifter that came in your car to now work with a more modern transmission. Available for 3-speed and 4-speed OD automatics, this kit takes the guesswork out of a transmission upgrade and makes your shifter work as if your car came that way from the factory. To add even more fine-tuning adjustability, we include our adjustable shift cable to perfectly dial in your shifter handle positions.
*Note: This kit eliminates the rod linkage and replaces it with a cable. Since the OEM gate is very narrow, your shifter handle tab (gear actuator) will need to be modified due to the added 1 or 2 gear positions that will now exist in the same amount of space. As time went on, GM released a variety of transmissions that had overdrive capability. Overdrive simply means that the output shaft of the transmission rotates faster then the speed of the input shaft from the engine. The result was better fuel economy, as well as more gentle highway RPMs. Some of the popular transmissions in this category include the TH700-R4, TH200-4R, 4L60, and 4L80E.
